The archipelago of Grenadines, south of Martinique, is one of the oldest and unspoiled places on earth. Away from the mass tourism circuits, free from large hotels and not washy accessible by air, it is a paradise for sailors. Aboard a comfortable and elegant catamaran, we will sail for nine days from island to island, enjoying and savouring every single moment.
DAY 1:
MANTINICA, LE MARIN direction Sainte Lucia
The catamaran will wait for you at 6pm in the marina of Le Marin, situated in the south of the island. Le Marin is a quiet village surrounding a deep bay encircled by mangroves and dotted with coral reefs and islands and enclosed by an intimate land that protects it from the sea. Le Marin is the perfect starting point to discover the Grenadines! Accommodations in cabins until arrival at Marigot Bay and dinner on board.
DAY 2:
SAINTE LUCIA direction Saint Vincent
After breakfast on board, we will leave for Saint Vincent with a stop at Walliabou, a fabulous bay that was used as a movie set in the famous film Pirates of the Caribbean. Lunch and dinner on board.
GIORNO 3:
SAINT VINCENT direction Bequia
In the morning, after breakfast, a short sail to Bequia (pronounced “Bekoue”), the first island of the Grenadines, and a stop at Amirality Bay. Entry formalities. In the capital, Port Elisabeth, a small but lively town, you will find the portrait of the Queen of England in every local establishment as a demonstration of the colonial power. Lunch and dinner on board.
DAY 4:
BEQUIA direction Tobago Cays
On the fourth day, we will sail to the Tobago Cays, where the colar reefs live surrounding the most beautiful lagoon of the Grenadines. For lunch, you will be in the heart of this tropical paradise. Here you can enter the enchanted world of corals, snorkel in shallow water, swim with giant sea turtles and hundreds of colourful fish, tan on the beautiful white sandy beaches and venture on the paths of islets, where you will discover countless cacti, frangipani and native bushes. Lunch on board. Dinner of lobster and local specialities on the beach…And at midnight, toast the New Year!
DAY 5:
TOBAGO CAYS direction Union Island – Palm Island
In the morning, we will leave behind the Tobago Cays to continue south after breakfast. These Caribbean islands are characterised by picture-postcard sceneries with white beaches and blue waters. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the colourful village of Clifton Rasta. Lunch and dinner on board or, alternatively, ashore.
DAY 6:
UNION ISLAND – PALM ISLAND direction Mayreau
After breakfast, we will take a short cruise that will take you up to Mayreau, mooring in Grand Bat. Mayreau is the least populated island of the archipelago and has about 300 inhabitants. This unique village can be explored with a walk, that follows a path leaving from Saline Bay beach, lasting about an hour. A visit to wooden cottages, bars and restaurants painted in multi colours and a small stone church that sits atop a hill and offers a stunning view on the nearby islands is highly recommended! Lunch on board and dinner to define.
DAY 7:
MAYREAU direction Mustique
We will depart after breakfast and reach Mustique in the late morning. This island is known as the island of the Hollywood jet set and of many international personalities.
